RESPA 101: 2 CE hours
RESPA Reform as it relates to changes in the Good Faith Estimate and
HUD-1 Settlement Statement forms. Learn the mysteries of the new 1100s section and how Title Service Fees will be revealed. Understand HUD’s thought process as they crafted the RESPA Reform Rule.

Advanced Foreclosures: 2 CE hours
Learn how the foreclosure process works; understand strategies and short sale procedures. And find out about pending legislation, which will change the process in 2008. More importantly learn from an instructor who has first hand knowledge of the process.

Empire Title’s New Agent Seminar: NON CE CLASS
This is an introductory class to help you begin to understand the new Contract, Title Commitment and HUD.

Real Estate Contract: 4 CE hours
Covering the NEW Contract, which became effective January 1st, 2008. Also learn how to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes, which cost you time and money.

Real Estate Commission Update Course: 4 CE hours
Learn the changes in the Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate. There is a Fee for this class.

1031 Tax Deferred & Exchanges: 3 CE hours
Understand the exchange terminology and exchange closing procedures. Learn how to convert a rental to a primary residence or residence to a rental and delayed exchange rules and identification requirements. And also learn how to calculate capital gain and comparing a sale vs. an exchange.

Advanced 1031 Exchange: 2 CE hours

This class provides a short overview of the basics of an exchange and quickly moves to more advanced 1031 exchange strategy and structure. Time will be dedicated to the Reverse exchange and Improvement exchange process and the unique structure and financing considerations these exchanges create. Advanced exchange strategy involving personal residences and vacation properties as well as other exit strategy options such as upREITs and Tenant In Common (TIC) ownership will be addressed.

1031 Exchanges—Everything You Ever Wanted to Know: 3 CE hours

Part 1 — The basic rules of IRC Section 1031 as well as a basic understanding of the Reverse and Improvement exchange process. We will discuss the role of the Qualified Intermediary and investor motivations for a 1031 exchange. This class will also highlight strategies involving the section 121 Primary Residence rules used in combination with a 1031 exchange.
Part 2 — How to Use TIC’s to Attract New Clients and Increase Your Income: This class includes, the basics of Tenant-in-Common (TIC), the latest information on the NAR/SEC Exemption, the parties involved in a securitized TIC investment, and how you can use TIC’s to attract new clients and increase your income!

This course contains information on transfer of well ownership, contract changes for foreclosure and short sale, and new rules and regulations. In addition, it discusses the changes to the contract effective July 1st, 2009. Self-Directed Retirement Plan Services: 2 CE Hours

This workshop offers an informal environment for asking questions about the flexibility available with self-directed retirement plans. This workshop covers the Dos and Don'ts (Prohibited Transactions) within your retirement plan, alternative investment choices to the stock market (i.e. Real Estate, Notes, LLCs) and how to open an account.
